New
York City is a magnificent set of islands
and
a superb harbor all spanned by some of
the
greatest bridges in the world.
Seeking
new ways to portray this great architecture,
I
have sculked about the waterfront and bases bridges
in
several neighborhoods, in less commonly visited areas.
I
have my favorites--
the
Verrazano, the Brooklyn Bridge and especially
the
rusticated stone piers of the Manhattan Bridge.
